So I got my first bad review on ratemyteacher.com and the kid wrote that I talk about myself “alot.” Getting a bad review doesn’t bother me at all, but saying “alot” tells me they learned nothing from my class. Bummer.

I just thought I should point out, as an English teacher, during the temporary rise in the amount of posts about the Lion King that the story is 100% a ripoff of Hamlet. why my job is awesome.
I get to teach a class tomorrow about the apocalypse. Later in the year, I get to teach about dinosaurs. I get paid for that. Seriously. Also, I have more argyle sweaters than anyone else I know and being a teacher is a place where those are welcomed.

Also, just fyi, rancid posted online that they are going to go on a world tour next year to support the album that they just started recording this month.
there are a few bands that have eluded me that I want to see live. rancid is on the very top of that list.

I think its time to end my photography "career."
Being a photographer has been a fun weekend job for the last two years, but I think I’m going to quit. It’s stupid to have a few grand invested in equipment when I get such a small amount of work. It’s been a fun ride. Maybe I’ll post a few of my favorite shots on here before I throw in the towel.

Foo.
I saw the Foo last night in Jersey. 10 hours of driving. Totally worth it. They played a 3 hour set. Seats were in the 3rd row aisle!
Also, Krist Novoselic came out and played the accordion during “I Should Have Known,” which was pretty epic.
Got back to NH at 5:30 AM. Took a quick shower, hammered down a bagel and an iced coffee with 2 shots of espresso and went straight tow...

Foo Fighters and Rise Against tomorrow.
So tomorrow, I am leaving directly after fourth block to drive to NJ to go see the Foo Fighters and Rise Against. Right after the show, I am going to turn around and drive straight back to NH. If all goes well, I’ll be driving right into the parking lot just in time to make it to first period to teach… I’ll be dirty, grungy, smelly, etc, but I already know it will be so worth...

New dinos to the herd
My students brought me in more dinosaurs to add to the growing herd on my desk! We are up to six now! I have the coolest students. Also, I am planning the best paleontology trip/class ever. Why do I teach English?

So, I got the 2 gauges in after about 5 hours of stretching with a taper and a long hot shower. Much less blood than yesterday’s failed attempt. They are very swollen though, that’s a lot of trauma for 24 hours. Also, I switched from tiger’s eye to a dark carnelian really beautiful stone. Anyway, they are in. great success.

caught air drumming.
I was air drumming in my car today at a stop light, admittedly i was rocking out rather hard. Some guy 2 lanes over saw me rocking out and it was clear he was listening to the same thing on the radio (foo fighters) and started headbanging. I threw up the metal sign and continued air drumming. He returned the metal sign and did some more headbanging and the light turned green.
